The AI Review exists because the AI tool landscape in 2026 is overwhelming, hyped, and full of paid placement. We cut through that.

What we do

We test AI tools hands-on for 40+ hours each before reviewing. We pay for them ourselves when possible. We publish our methodology. We disclose every affiliate relationship.

Who we are

A small team of developers, writers, and analysts who use these tools daily in our own work. We're not vendor-funded, and we don't do paid reviews.

How we stay independent

• We pay for tools ourselves (when feasible)
• Affiliate commissions are clearly disclosed but never affect scores
• Our review rubric is public and applied consistently
• Vendors cannot buy, edit, or remove a review

How we make money

2. Newsletter sponsorship — a few sponsored slots in our weekly digest, clearly marked.
3. That's it. No data sales, no display ads, no junk.
